Global Education, Personal Impact
Education plays an integral role when adapting a new technique into a surgical practice. This is particularly true with regard to the anterior approach to hip replacement, which has often been cited as being difficult for surgeons to incorporate due to a steep learning curve and complications sometimes experienced during the learning process. The key to shortening the learning curve and reducing the risk of complications during this period is a program where the surgeon has a network in place to assist him/her during this critical time. The goal of this panel discussion is to present an education platform that can assist surgeons in the early part of the adoption phase and support successful implementation of the anterior approach into their practice. As more and more surgeons look to utilize the anterior approach, this panel will demonstrate the immediate and direct impact a comprehensive education platform can have on surgeons being trained.
